“Pam, through her skilled interventions and compassion, remarkably helped our family member, Bob, recover from a severe hemorrhagic stroke.  Bob was unable to safely swallow, so he had to have a gastrostomy tube. His speech was severely affected and this caused so much sadness and frustration. Pam worked her magic and brought Bob back to life! Bob trusted her and worked hard to recover because she gave him hope.  It took time, but Bob learned to swallow safely and eat all his favorite foods. He no longer needed a feeding tube. His speech improved and fortunately he regained full communication. Bob and our family will be forever grateful to Pam.  Our daughter got her father back with their father/daughter talks, laughter, and frequent outings  to their favorite restaurants. Bob said the stroke was terrible, but through Pam’s care, his heart opened and he regained his confidence and ability to eat and speak. We were so fortunate to have such a dynamic, gifted, caring and skilled Speech Pathologist. Thank you Pam.”Carol

“My son Daniel was in a horrific accident 7 years ago. He suffered a significant brain injury and couldn’t talk or swallow solid food. Speech Pathologist Pam Horenstein was the miracle worker who worked with him and advocated for him when we didn’t think he would ever talk or eat. Because of her persistence and guidance Daniel can eat anything he wants and he can talk! Pam was with us every step of the way when he had swallow tests and pushed for change in his diet which greatly improved his quality of life. Pam developed an amazing relationship with Dan and to this day, even though he has aphasia, he remembers her and asks about her. Pam also helped me with navigating the health system and was so very kind to me. It is hard to explain the huge impact she had on our lives! I am eternally grateful and Pam will always hold a special place in our hearts.”Maura

“I immediately resonated with Pamela and her unique approach to authentic vocal therapy. Vocal range was more of a focus for me than pitch, and Pamela set me up for such success. I still use the exercises and techniques we covered in our sessions as I continue to pursue my authenticity through vocal warmups and play, on a daily basis. Pamela’s understanding and empathy made all the difference for me and my ability to access and explore this therapy outside the typical binary focused model within western medicine. I am truly grateful for her approach and encouragement as an equal and co-facilitator in this work, it has made all the difference to me and my progress and I am looking forward to working together again in the future! – Hollywood
